A Divine Dress

I have always had an appreciation for how fashion designers convey design through illustration. Seemingly simple pen strokes conspire to define a garment - its silhouette, style, fit, color and material - to the point that it is palpable.

Illustration need not be confined to the realm of the designer. I use it to plan my wardrobe and test out new looks. It may be that I grew up watching my mother sketch out her vacation wardrobe before packing for a trip, or the clothes she would wear for an evening out.

Our imagination is rich, and illustrations both capture it and let it run free.
